The NSW Government has launched the NSW Device Bank, delivered by WorkVentures, to help more people across NSW access the technology, skills and support they need to participate in today’s digital world. Through the 12-month pilot, surplus NSW Government laptops will be securely collected, refurbished and redistributed to people and communities experiencing digital exclusion.
By extending the life of government devices, the initiative will not only improve access to essential technology but also reduce e-waste and support more sustainable technology outcomes across the state. In partnership with Good Things Australia, refurbished devices will be distributed through community organisations, alongside digital literacy support and connectivity assistance, helping more people gain the confidence and tools needed to get online safely.
