Promoting Digital Inclusion

At WorkVentures, we are passionate about bridging the digital divide. We strive to ensure that all Australians have equal opportunities to access technology. We support individuals and organisations around the country by providing affordable devices, connectivity and technical support.

In our IT Solutions department, we refurbish pre-owned corporate devices and sell them at affordable prices. We also provide six months of warranty and ongoing technical support.

Advice of the night from the 44th President of the United States - Barak Obama: "Focus on what you can do, not who you want to be. The effort of doing good work will often get you to where you want to be quicker." "Angela Merkel was a little suspicious of my flashy rhetoric and speech making, which is probably a good trait in a German leader. Charisma and flashy rhetoric hasn't always worked out too well in Germany!" "In our society, there's a lot of chasing the brass ring, to be a doctor, lawyer, or corporate CEO. But if you focus too much on the destination, even when you reach it, you won't know why you're there. This can explain a lot of bad politicians. "You have to think of your time in office as a relay. You do what you can, make a start, so that others may pick it up and carry it on. To quote MLK, you might reach the mountain peak, and glimpse the promised land, but you won't get there. Your children, future generations will." Highs & lows of his time in office: - Obamacare, which has helped the approx population of Australia access health care without having to mortgage their home (bye bye Breaking Bad) - Comforting the families of 6yo gunned down at school, while congress refused to legislate gun control - "Saving the world economy. That was pretty good too." Plus, "a slight interruption" is my new favourite way to refer to the Trump administration

Australians Face Digital Exclusion

With the world becoming increasingly reliant on technology, it is of great importance that all people and organisations are able to access the digital world.

1 in 4 Australians are digitally excluded, which means that they do not have the same opportunities as those with regular access to technology.

Organisations that lack digital literacy fall behind. In 2021, 47% of not-for-profits were not satisfied with the way they used technology.
